Cohesive Echoes

Cohesive Echoes explores harmony within contrast, where every piece resonates with the others, creating an immersive and unified visual experience. The series is divided into two parts, both centered on the transformation of flowers through different materials and techniques, capturing their beauty as sculptural pieces.

Crystallization—a slow chemical process—transforms flowers into hybrid creations, appearing as though adorned with gemstones. This fusion of nature and transformation enhances the series’ mysterious and ephemeral quality.

In the second part, using my handmade glass pieces, I capture real-time distortions of flowers, blending reflection and abstraction. Macro photography reveals the intricate textures and colors of the floral compositions, often making it difficult to distinguish between organic and abstract forms.

Created in Tokyo in 2024, Cohesive Echoes was developed in collaboration with photographer Hiroki Watanabe.

The Weird and the Wonderful

This surrealist series of 11 compositions draws inspiration from the intricate beauty of insects. By digitally manipulating textures and forms, I reimagine nature’s smallest wonders, challenging conventional notions of beauty.

“Eggcentric” & “Foundation”

A collaboration with photographer Joana Sandrin Gauer, these series explore the contrast between nature and artificiality. Eggcentric examines fragility through the imagery of eggs juxtaposed with industrial materials, while Foundation critiques society’s obsession with perfection using submerged cosmetics as a metaphor for superficial identity.
